US Soldier visits Shrewsbury 1919

A reporter gives a guided tour of Shrewsbury to a US soldier.

He’s impressed with the Quarry, but says there needs to be more public toilets, asks if Hercules was a Shrewsbury man saying he’d “make a mint of money” if he was a trapper in the Rockies, he was amazed at the number of pubs in the town, and tastes a Shrewsbury biscuit.
